Spirit Lodge names new Clinical Director
Abi Williams, Ph.D., LCSW, CSAT, CMAT, has been named the new Spirit Lodge Clinical Director. Williams became familiar with Right Step in 1998 when she conducted research for her doctoral thesis at Right Step’s flagship center in Houston. Since then, she has spent many years providing care at places such as The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston, Center for Recovering Families, and Parkside Lodge of Katy.
Williams will oversee each guest’s clinical treatment plan which will address, not only addiction treatment, but also some of the co-occurring disorders that can accompany substance abuse. Williams has been equipped to work with people who may have eating disorders, sex addiction, process addictions, and codependency issues. She also has been trained in group psychotherapy and social work.
