Organization treating eating disorders and excessive exercise will launch San Diego site
Monte Nido Holdings, which operates 18 facilities that treat eating disorders and exercise addiction, has announced that it will officially open the Monte Nido Eating Disorder Center of San Diego on March 1. The organization acquired the former Eating Disorder Center of San Diego last December.
Adults and adolescents will be served at the San Diego center, located in the Solana Beach area. Among the offered levels of care are partial hospitalization services for up to seven days a week, and intensive outpatient services over five days a week.
“The Monte Nido philosophy includes restoring biochemical functioning and nutritional balance, and implementing healthy eating and exercise habits in order to help patients change destructive behaviors,” clinical director Kristine Jackson said in a news release.
Monte Nido operates programs in California, Oregon, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.
