Nationally prominent center changes its name

In a move reflecting the diversity of its continuum of care, New Jersey-based Seabrook House has dropped part of its traditional name. The organization now will call itself Seabrook, and will employ the accompanying tagline message “The Heart of Recovery.”

As has been the case with many longstanding residential treatment facilities, Seabrook now offers a continuum of outpatient services as well as recovery support, medication treatment and specialty programming for patients with co-occurring addiction and mental illness. “Seabrook has, in its 43 years of life, become a lot more than a house,” an Oct. 11 news release from the organization states.

Seabrook president Ed Diehl added, “We talked with our community, stakeholders and partners, staff, and several program participants about how to position ourselves to help more people. This new branding represents our renewed commitment. It's fresh and open. And our messaging—the heart of recovery—says it all.”
