Film on eating disorders profiles Vermont center patients
The documentary “All of Me” focuses on the lives of patients with eating disorders who are struggling to regain a sense of self-compassion. Screenings of the Kingdom County Productions film, which profiles the holistic work of the Vermont Center for Integrative Therapy in Burlington, are available by e-mailing director Bess O'Brien at bobrien@pshift.com.
Topics of importance in the film include body image issues, the lack of connection with one's physical and emotional being, and the need for intensive self-examination to find the factors that triggered the illness.
Beth Mayer, executive director of the Multi-Service Eating Disorder Association, said that the film “does a wonderful job of depicting the realities of what having an eating disorder feels like in our society.”
