Eating disorders center enhances partial hospital program

The University Medical Center of Princeton's Center for Eating Disorders Care in New Jersey has separated its partial hospital program from its inpatient program, while also expanding services available to its partial hospital patients.

The partial hospital program has added experiential activities such as cooking groups and restaurant excursions. It also has expanded its scheduling options, with programs held three to five days a week, and full-day and shorter schedules available.

“Partial hospital patients are generally ready to take on different challenges and explore greater independence with our support,” center program director Melinda Parisi Cummings, PhD, said in a news release. “They can also benefit from group topics that further align with their needs, such as more intensive body image work or how to incorporate healthy exercise into their lives.”
