State Employees Grant Will Complete Facility Renovation in North Carolina
An organization providing transitional housing and rehabilitative services for North Carolinians in recovery from addiction will complete a renovation of its Winston-Salem campus with a $1 million grant from the State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) Foundation.
Addiction Recovery Care Association (ARCA) works primarily in the region encompassing Forsyth, Guilford, Davidson and Randolph counties. According to a news release last month, the grant will allow the 50-year-old organization to increase its capacity for housing accommodation and to expand treatment and educational support and public outreach.
“We believe everyone deserves the right to change—we are very grateful for this generous gift that will allow us to grow and serve even more,” said ARCA Executive Director Thom Elmore.
The member-funded SECU Foundation has invested more than $169 million in initiatives to benefit residents of North Carolina since 2004.
