Hope House Partners with Arizona State to Expand Treatment
The Hope House, a residential addiction treatment center in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Tuesday announced a partnership with Arizona State University’s Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation to expand treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The partnership is slated to last five years, with new students creating or expanding on Hope House treatment options each semester.
To begin, two ASU doctoral nursing students are working with Hope House patients, providing mindfulness, exercise and healthy lifestyle education sessions three times per week. The program will have three, three-week sessions. Originally planned to be delivered in person, the sessions will be conducted virtually because of the pandemic.
Future semesters could include programs around areas such as nutrition, aftercare and virtual reality treatment, a Hope House representative said in a news release.
